DYBERRY TWP. -  The 152nd Wayne County Fair dates are August 1 to August 9. A great fair week is anticipated by its organizers and there will be plenty to do and see including the music concert event on Monday, August 4 with country music stars Craig Campbell and special guest Eric Paslay.
It is no secret in recent years the fair’s concert venues have proven to be the launching pad for some of country music’s rising stars such as Justin Moore and Jake Owens, said Fair officials. This year will be no different. With hit singles under their belts such as “Keep Them Kisses Comin” and “Outta My Head” by Craig Campbell and “Friday Night” and “Song about a Girl” by Eric Paslay, these two artists are sure to put on a show like you’ve never seen before at the WCF.     Not one, but two popular artists playing songs and interacting with the crowd for one night only. Trackside and Grandstand tickets are on sale now via the website. It is best to check for availability soon.
On Thursday August 7, don’t miss what promises to be Monster Truck history, with the always popular world-famous KSR Monster Truck Show featuring the all new electric Big Foot. This year Jim Kramer comes back to drive the new Odyssey battery operated Big Foot in an epic race with XPD, the local favorite.
Other favorites of fair-goers are the competition events with the Demolition Derby Friday August 1 at 7:30 p.m., the Tractor and Truck Pulls, Horse Pulls and Harness Racing - all are shows in themselves. "You’ll be on your feet rooting your favorite on to the finish line." said Fair  officials. Between shows, tour the Midway for thrilling rides, fair snacks, treats and favorites for all ages. The barns and pens are a great place to take the kids to see the animals.
"This grand ole fair hasn’t missed a beat in 152 years and is getting better each year," said Fair officials. "Over 99,000 visitors came to the fair in 2013. With good weather maybe we’ll make 100,000."
