LACKAWAXEN – Big Barn Music recording artist Rob Cannillo, whose gritty vocal stylings and distinctive Americana compositions are said to speak from the heart, is returning to perform at River Jam Music Fest in Lackawaxen on Saturday, July 12.
Cannillo, who has delighted audiences throughout the Northeast U.S. with his soulful, original compositions, will be providing a solo performance at River Jam located just over the Roebling Bridge at 774 Route 590 in Lackawaxen.
Now in its seventh year, River Jam is a one-day music and food festival that raises funds for active military, veterans, and the local community.
Gates open for the event at 2 p.m.
Cannillo, whose earthy music has been described by WPDH DJ Robyn Taylor as “magic” and by former Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle as “killer,” burst onto the Hudson Valley, New York entertainment scene in the late 1990s and quickly became one of the area’s premier artists. Rob’s melodies, which include What Life Can Be, Poets & Prophets, and Sara, evoke the sounds of other popular indie/Americana artists such as The Avett Brothers, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Ray LaMontagne, The Lumineers, and Amos Lee.
