  • Clark convicted of forgery

  •      HONESDALE - Janine Edwards, Wayne County District Attorney announced July 10 that a Wayne County Jury convicted Jon C. Clark, age 54, of Forgery. The jury deliberated approximately one hour and 45 minutes before reaching the verdict.
         Clark is scheduled to be sentenced on August 28, 2014 and he faces up to five years in jail and up to a $10,000.00 fine.
          Clark forged a prescription for Oxycodone, a Schedule II Controlled Substance and presented it to a local pharmacy.
             The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney, Deborah Rothenberg. President Judge Raymond L. Hamill presided.
          District Attorney Edwards stated that the “abuse of prescription drugs is a major problem throughout Pennsylvania including Wayne County. I am very pleased with the jury’s verdict.”
