HAWLEY- Sandy Gabrieson, board member of the Ritz Company Playhouse, kneels under the historic marquee at 512 Keystone St., Hawley. He is displaying some of the brick pavers being installed in their walkway. Engraved according to the sponsor's wishes, the proceeds benefit maintenance of the 1935 theater. The Ritz re-opened in 1970 as a non-profit live theater company. About 120 pavers had been laid so far and about 200 more were on their way. There is room for approximately 500 engraved bricks. A full square is $100; a half brick is $50. Sandy has more information next door at Murphy's Insurance, or you may visit www.ritzplayhouse.com. The comedy Noises Off finishes at the Ritz on July 20; the curtain raises for Disney's High School Musical Jr. (performed by the Ritz Bitz Players), starting July 25.
