  • No condemnation- no separation

  • Two of the most Comforting and Victorious verses in the Bible are the opening and closing verses of the Book of Romans, Chapter 8 –
“There is therefore now NO CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit”
(vs.1) and, “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor Angels nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing shall be able to SEPARATE us from the Love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (vs.38,39).
Paul, the Apostle, who wrote these words to the Church at Rome, sums up here the Blessed Assurance we all can have when we surrender our hearts and lives completely to Jesus Christ – we will NEVER be CONDEMNED by -- nor SEPARATED from -- our Loving Heaven Father, His Son Jesus Christ, or His Comforting Holy Spirit – IF -- we have been saved and sealed by the Blood of Christ.
Think of it – forever under the protection of the most Powerful Force in Heaven and earth – for ETERNITY!
Now, take note that Paul had just opened his heart wide in chapter 7 confessing to having personal problems that brought him up short at times with the Perfect Peace that is available to us all who follow closely to the Lord. This chapter opens to us all that there is the necessity of walking very closely to, and keeping our hearts and eyes focused squarely on, the Lord Jesus Christ at ALL times.
Let’s take a look at each of the two words in our title –
CONDEMNATION – To be condemned is to be guilty of a matter and having it brought it out in the open for all to see – and carrying that load of guilt with no possible relief in sight.
SEPARATION – To be set aside with no hope of coming back to the place of acceptance and reconciliation. Isolation because of a wrong committed and not made right.
BUT – the Love and the Blood of Jesus Christ removes both of these barriers and restores the proper relationship needed for a Godly walk and fellowship.
This removal can only be accomplished by the acceptance of God’s condition of confessing (1 John 1:9) and restoration of the Love Relationship (John 3:16) required for the fellowship that once was experienced before sin entered into the picture in the Garden of Eden and has continued ever since the fall of Adam and Eve.
The successful Christian life is a life of full surrender to the Will of God the Father, the full enjoyment of Life Everlasting in the presence of Jesus Christ, and the promised Comfort of the Holy Spirit during our pilgrimage here on earth.
Page 2 of 2 - It is difficult to explain this in words without experiencing it first-hand in our lives. God’s plan for all man-kind is that He is “not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).
So we can conclude from these verses of Scripture that God has already done His part to bring us to Himself – and now it is up to us to make the move into His arms of Love and accept His plan for the Successful Life He has laid out for us from the very beginning and fully paid for by he sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary.
BELIEVE IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:31) – and – RECEIVE HIM INTO YOUR HEART AND LIFE (John 1:12)
