  • State pen ordered after assault on female

  • MILFORD- Pike County District Attorney Raymond J. Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued Friday, July 25 by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen:
     • David Lee Wilson, age 52, of Matamoras,  was sentenced to three to six years in a state correctional facility and fined $1,100.00 for the crime of Aggravated Assault.  On February 2, 2014, in Matamoras,  during a domestic dispute, Wilson struck an individual causing fractures to the bones in her face.
    • Renee Lee Scillia, age 45, of Mine Hill, NJ, was sentenced to 18 months to five years in the Pike County Jail, fined $2,500.00 and had her driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.  On April 12, 2013, Scillia was observed by Milford Police Department pulling into the parking lot of a service station in Milford Borough with a flat tire and exiting the vehicle having difficulty with her balance.  Upon further investigation it was found Scillia operated her vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Scillia refused to submit to the chemical breath test.
    • Robert Colao, age 19, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to nine to 23 ½ months in the Pike County Jail and fined $900.00 for the crimes of Criminal Conspiracy and Retail Theft.  On two occasions in February 2014, Colao and another individual took electronic merchandise from a retail store in Westfall Township without paying for it.  On February 25, 2014, Colao, assisted by the same individual, broke the window of a service station in Westfall Township to gain entry to steal cigarettes.
    • Francisco Montanez, age 49, of Middletown, NY, was sentenced to seven to 23 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $500.00 for the crime of Receiving Stolen Property.  On February 12, 2014, at a retail store in Westfall Township, Montanez and another individual were observed self-scanning merchandise at a lower price and exiting the store with the merchandise.  Montanez was later found in possession of the various items with a retail value of $1,009.87.
    • Vincent Moraglia, age 22, of East Stroudsburg,  was sentenced to one to 18 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $500.00 for the crime of Simple Assault.  On May 1, 2013 at a residence in Bushkill, the state police were called to respond to an assault.  Public safety officers had responded earlier for an individual having seizures.  Upon the arrival of public safety officers, Moraglia became agitated and attempted to bite and hit all parties in the room which resulted in approximately five individuals attempting to restrain Morgalia and prevent him from hurting himself.  In the process of restraining Moraglia, two public safety officers were injured.
    • Joseph Edward Rathjen, age 29, of Greentown,  was sentenced to one month and 72 hours to 12 months in the Pike County Jail, followed by 12 months of probation, fined $1,800.00 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence of Controlled or Counterfeit Substance, Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.  On July 14, 2012 along I-84 in Greene Township, Rathjen was pulled over by the state police because his vehicle was weaving across the road and the vehicle license plates were listed as stolen.  Upon investigation, Rathjen was found in possession of Diazepam and a blood test revealed he was operating his vehicle under the influence of Oxycodone and Diazepam.
    Page 2 of 2 - • Maryann Elizabeth Spininger, age 30, of Port Jervis, NY, was sentenced to 17 days to 12 months in the Pike County Jail and fined $400.00 for the crime of Retail Theft.  On April 29, 2013, at a retail store in Westfall Township, Spininger exchanged stolen merchandise for approximately $187.26 in cash. On May 22, 2013, Spininger stole merchandise with a value of $160.73 from a retail store in Westfall Township.
