HONESDALE - The Plain Speaking Summer Series at the Wayne County Historical Society’s Main Museum, 810 Main Street, Honesdale will continue at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 15th with Bernadine Lennon of the Greene-Dreher Historical Society. She will speak about the 1955 Flood that devastated parts of Wayne County.
Included in the discussion: the weather events leading to the flood, the regional loss of life/property with a focus on the Greene-Dreher area devastation, and the steps that were taken to mitigate future flooding events in the Greene-Dreher area.
 The program is free and open to the public.
