WAYNE COUNTY - The Wayne Choralaires, under the direction of Patricia Spoor, are starting rehearsals for their Christmas concerts and would welcome more singers to join them. All voice parts are needed. This winter’s concerts are titled “Noel, Noel” and will include a wide range of sacred and popular songs. A highlight of the musical offerings will be the “Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s “Messiah.”
The Choralaires have been entertaining appreciative local audiences for over forty years, and their Christmas concerts are a cherished Wayne County tradition. If you love to sing and can carry a tune, you will enjoy singing with the Choralaires. You do not need to be able to read music, and there will be a number of solo opportunities.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings beginning September 3 from 8:30 to 10 p.m. in the Wesley Room of the Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale. Concerts will be Sunday afternoon and evening, November 30, in Honesdale; Thursday evening, December 4, in Carbondale; and Sunday afternoon, December 7, in Hawley.
