“Lost in Staten Island” Open Rehearsal

Director Jason Jacobs and cast members of the new play “Lost in Staten Island – More Tales of Modern Living” by Richard Scheinmel, invite the public to sit in on an open working rehearsal on Sunday, May 13 at 2 p.m. at the Krause Recital Hall, Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main Street, Narrowsburg, NY. Admission is by donation to the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.

Wayne County Spring Art Exhibit highlights work of senior citizens

The Wayne County Art Exhibit is hosted by the Wayne County Court House and displayed in the Lobby, the exhibit is sponsored by the Wayne County Area Agency on Aging. The exhibit is open to the public Monday through Friday, April 23 – 27 from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.

Major Becker exhibit to be unveiled at open house

A major new exhibit, “The Artistic Vision of Howard D. Becker,” will be unveiled on Saturday, April 21, at the Wayne County Historical Society, 810 Main Street, Honesdale.

Juried show features 40 area artists, craftsmen

The ARTery Gallery will present a new exhibit featuring art by 40 regional artists and craftsmen.  “New Visions”, a juried show and sale will feature the best work of artists in the tri-states region.  Work that was chosen from hundreds of submissions will be on display from April 12 – May 7. 

Painting club forms at library

A new art group is forming at the Community Library of Lake and Salem Towsnhips in Hamlin called Painting Companions Club. The first meeting is on Tuesday, April 10.
Come and paint with them on Tuesday nights in the Library Community Room. The club meeting will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

Celebrate Spring with a palette of color

Sunday night cinema presents “Babette’s Feast” April 1

The evening of Sunday, April 1, the Wayne County Arts Alliance presents “Babette's Feast,” winner of the 1988 Oscar for Best ForeignLanguage Film, as the latest entry in its Spring movie series. The story takes place in a remote part of 19th century Denmark where the French-born Babette works for a pair of elderly and pious sisters.

Sunday night film series: ‘Big Night’

At 8:15 on Sunday, March 18, the Wayne County Arts Alliance will kick off its latest Sunday Night Cinema movie series with “Big Night,” a 1996 production starring Stanley Tucci, Tony Shalhoub and Minnie Driver. 

Life drawing classes to begin

Life drawing classes will begin at the Milford Borough Hall starting on April 17th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will run for six consecutive Tuesdays.

Milford artist’s silk screen, block prints on display

“Denial,” an exhibit of silk screen and linoleum block prints by Joyce Ellen Weinstein opened with a reception on Saturday, February 25 at Alliance Gallery at the Delaware Arts Center in Narrowsburg, NY. The exhibit will be on view through March 17.
