Almost six months from the day that Wayne Memorial imposed visitor restrictions due to the pandemic H1N1 influenza virus, the Hospital in Honesdale is lifting the temporary rules that prohibited children under 18 from visiting patients. As of today, children will be allowed to visit patients on all floors, including maternity.

Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin has declined to file charges in the death of Vagif Alijev, who was found deceased at Camp King Soldiers on Masthope Plank Road in Lackawaxen Township, on July 19, 2009.
