Sarah Lehman, daughter of John and Caroline Lehman of White Mills, will be among the candidates competing for the title of Miss Teen Pennsylvania at the 2010 State Pageant, which will be held July 23-25 in Bloomsburg. The winner of the pageant competition will receive a $1,000 cash scholarship and a $500 dollar savings bond. The new State Titleholder will also be eligible to compete for the National Title of Miss Teen of America and vie for additional scholarships, awards, and prizes.
Each state candidate will be scored in five judging categories, which are: Scholastic Record, Achievement and Service to School and Community, Personal Development of Talents and Skills, Personality Projection in Formal Wear, and Interview.
The State Pageant finals will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 25th in Haas Center for the Arts of the Bloomsburg University Campus. The event is open to the general public, and tickets will be available for purchase at the door. Special guests will include Miss Teen of Pennsylvania, Evalyn Kennedy of Williamsburg.
Sarah will be sponsored in the pageant by: John and Caroline Lehman, Joseph Ursta, Catherine Ursta, Jean and Robert Lehman, and the Hawley Cultural and Creative Arts Center.
