Workshop on Building Stone Walls Offered

The Penn State Master Gardeners in Wayne county will be offering a workshop on building stone walls in your landscaping on Tuesday, June 10 from 6 - 7:30 pm.  The group will be meeting at the Wayne County Visitors Center in Honesdale and walking/car-pooling to the workshop site on Ash street.

Eric Megargel, Honesdale resident and accomplished stone wall mason, will demonstrate the fundamentals of building stone walls, discuss their use in landscapes and show a number of completed stone walls on his property.

The event will take place outside, rain or shine, and involves some walking.  Please wear appropriate shoes and bring a rain coat if needed.

 Cost to attend the workshop is $3 per person, payable at the door. Pre-registration is appreciated but not required.  Please contact the Extension office at 570-253-5970 x 4110 or by e-mail to WayneExt@psu.edu.
