The nice weather brought residents out to the Hawley United Methodist Church’s Blood Drive, April18.
Ashley Starnes, Blood Services manager with the Pike/Wayne Pike Chapter of the American Red Cross, said that “quite of few people came out today.” As of 2 pm, there was already 24 donors and there was four hours more to go until the end of the drive.
Also, as a special thank-you for donating blood and in celebration of the season of giving life, all donors received a complimentary packet of flower seeds from the American Red Cross.
