The Jan. 30, 31, Feb. 1 Weekend edition of The News Eagle was the first day in the rebirth of your newspaper.
The new look reflects you, our readers and comes after weeks of evaluation, training and development for our newspaper staff.
We have developed a page-by-page revision that makes for better packaging of news, features, church news, lifestyle, editorials and sports.
You will see different reporting methods employed, too. You will notice Q&A formats, quicker glances of the news and more information on every page.
Your new newspaper is more than just the old stuff wrapped up in a pretty package.
In the coming days, you will see new features on our front page and opinion page and beefed up lifestyle content that is extremely relevant to our readers.
Certainly, we will continue to offer our regular columnists, but in addition, we will offer more thought-provoking editorial content that we are sure will inspire you.
We did not have to do this. While other newspapers are struggling — some even dying — we’re growing. But that’s not good enough. This new format is to tell you we’re not finished yet.
Our goal is to bring you the best in community news in a way that makes you want to dive in.
That’s our commitment to you.
