Hawley’s Farmer’s Market Is Open on Fridays

Hawley, Pa. -

A Ribbon Cutting was held last Friday afternoon at the new location of the Downtown Hawley Partnership’s Farmer’s Market.

Located at the Stourbridge Rail Line’s Depot in Hawley, several local produce growers were on hand to begin the new summer season by offering fresh, local produce and homemade foods.

ohn Jantos, section chief of the Economic Development Division of the State Agricultural Department, was also on hand for the opening ceremony. Open every Friday, from 3:30 pm to 7 pm, folks can buy fresh vegetables, homemade cakes, pies and bread, and a variety of northeast Pennsylvania’s finest produce and other local favorites.

The Hawley Lions Club will also be hand selling hot dogs and cold drinks to those enjoying the marketplace.
