MATAMORAS - On Thursday, April 20 at the Best Western Inn at Hunt’s Landing the upcoming Working Pike Job Fair will bring together more than 50 regional employers to showcase their employment opportunities. As a jobseeker, are you ready?
Pike County Workforce Development Agency wants to help you answer that question with a confident “YES”. That is why they will be offering free workshops to help present you in your best light.
How to Prepare for the Fair will review the dos and don’ts along with what you can expect the day of the event. Resume Review will cover resume writing basics. Staff will look over your resume and make suggestions for a perfect presentation. Workshops will be held at the Pike County Workforce Development Agency Thursday, April 6th and Thursday, April 13th. Preregistration is required.
“You will only have a small window of opportunity to make an impression, being prepared is the first step,” said Randy Philhower, one of the event coordinators. She added, “Employers are looking to hire and they want someone who took the time to prepare. These workshops will help you with that.”
The second annual Working Pike Job Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 20.
