Here is a sample of some of the main events this coming week in the Wayne/Pike county area, which are open to the public.

HAWLEY EARTHFEST - The Downtown Hawley Partnership (DHP) has announced that  the fourth annual Hawley Earth Fest is set for the weekend of April 21-23. For information www.HawleyEarthfest.com. Part of the event is in Bingham Park on Saturday, with an Environmental Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the #WildHawley parade within the park, at 1 p.m.  

BREWERY SPEAKER - Hawley Public Library’s speaker series, Unique Pathways, continues at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27 with Brian Cobb, owner of the Irving Cliff Brewery in Honesdale. There is no charge. Hawley Public Library is located at 103 Main Avenue, across from the post office. The Library may be contacted at 570-226-4620.

PENNIES FROM HEAVEN - The 8th Annual Tricky Tray benefit is set for Sunday April 30th, from 12 to 2:30 p.m. at The Dock on Wallenpaupack (formerly known as Ehrhardt’s Restaurant) in Tafton.  Over 150 themed baskets (valued at $100+) for every family member will be raffled off.

Admission is free, cash bar available, door prizes & desserts will be given out, and general tickets will be sold at $8 for 25. Value packs will also be sold for $50. Don’t forget your extra pennies and change to toss into Caleb’s Wishing Well.  New for this year: Bring a brand new Crayola item and receive a free raffle ticket.
