Deborah Ann (Arter) Sutton, age 52, of Hawley died Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Born September 9, 1964, in Port Jervis, NY, she was the daughter of Louise (Schmalzle) Dyke of Lords Valley and the late Robert Harvey Arter.
A Wallenpaupack High School Class of 1982 graduate, she was a standout on the track team and held the record for the women's 4 X 400 for many years. Following graduation, Debbie served in the US Air Force. Over the years she had many careers, including real estate agent, bus driver, landscaper and restaurant manager. She was often seen walking in Hawley. She loved animals, the outdoors and gardening, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family. A member of Pillar of Fire Church, she was always ready to help a friend in need and enjoyed her church fellowship.
She is survived by two daughters: Brandi Bierbower of San Diego, CA, and Deanna Sutton of Hawley; two sons: Timothy Sutton and Kevin Sutton of Hawley; her mother: Louise Dyke; two brothers: Robert Arter and Ricky Arter of Lords Valley; and a grandson: Wyatt Bierbower of San Diego, CA.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 24, at 4 p.m. at Pillar of Fire Church, Rt. 6 and 739, Blooming Grove, PA.
