HAWLEY - On Friday June 9, attorney Gene Talerico, attorney Kelly Gaughan, Justin Genzlinger and Suzy Atacavage will be sponsoring the 5th Annual Pike/Wayne Benefit Dinner and Auction in support of Marley’s Mission at the Settler’s Inn, Hawley.

Marley’s Mission is a non-profit organization that provides equine-based therapy free of charge to children, and their families, who have experienced trauma.

The Mission was started following the brutal attack of a five year old child when a stranger broke into her room in Lackawanna County. The child failed to respond to traditional therapy, but the child’s family witnessed dramatic improvement once horses were infused into the child’s therapy.

Wanting to share the benefits of equine psychotherapy, the child’s mother, the First Assistant District Attorney on the case, Gene Talerico, and other generous and dedicated supporters formed Marley’s Mission. The Mission serves children in 10 counties in Pennsylvania and has spent thousands of service hours in Pike and Wayne Counties.

The event will feature a cocktail hour to include unlimited beer and wine, a four course gourmet dinner and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $125 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets go to www.marleysmission.com.
