Amended calendar

The PA Department of Education allowed a waiver to the school calendar of 180 days of classroom instruction, due to the number of “snow days.”  The district will provide a minimum of 900 hours of instruction at the elementary level and 990 hours instruction at the secondary level. Approval was based on the Governor’s Emergency Declaration enacted due to the blizzard on March 14. The declaration included 16 counties.

The final day of school for all students will be Friday, June 16, 2017; graduation is that evening. Seniors will not have to make up school on Saturday, June 10, as was previously discussed. Early dismissal will occur on June 16th.
