HAWLEY - The three Lake Region communities of Hawley Brough and Palmyra and Paupack Townships are now engaged in updating their Comprehensive Plan and will have a training meeting for local officials on Wednesday evening, June 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hawley Borough Building to discuss the planning process.
The public is also invited to attend this training session to learn more. Peter Wulfhorst of Penn State Cooperative Extension will present. The meeting will include a review of progress to date and an online public opinion survey being conducted to solicit public input for the update. Shepstone Management Company is assisting the Lake Region communities with the Comprehensive Plan update.

Simultaneously with this public meeting and training session, Lake Region communities are conducting a public opinion survey. This survey will provide citizens with an opportunity to give their views on a host of subjects, ranging from taxes to zoning to community facilities. Hard copies of the survey will also be available in various locations around the Lake Region.
