Here is a sample of some of the main events coming up in the Wayne/Pike county area, which are open to the public. 

1. ARTS & CRAFTS FAIRS - The Chamber of the Northern Pocono’s annual Arts & Crafts Fairs in Bingham Park will take place Saturday, June 10 and Saturday, September 9. Enjoy the talents of artists and crafters displaying their fine wares. The Fair hosts approximately 100 vendors. 2. HONESDALE ROOTS & RHYTHM - Called a “swaggeringly bad girl bluesy rock band” by music media,  Larkin Poe, a sibling duo out of Georgia, will headline the 12th annual Honesdale Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, June 17th, in Central Park.

Bruce Katz and his band start off the whole show in Central Park at 1:30 p.m. Katz is a four-time nominee for the Blues Music Award and was inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame in 2013.

Bands along Main Street and then moves to Central Park, where attendees can enjoy arts, crafts, games and food. This non-profit event is totally free of charge, put on entirely by volunteers and supported by sponsors, donors and grants.

3. FARMER'S MARKET - Hawley Farmer's Market is operated every Friday in Bingham Park from mid-May into October. Hours are from 2 to 6 p.m., an hour longer than in previous years. Hawley Farmer's Market is run by the Downtown Hawley Partnership.

4. ADULT LITERACY, 30TH ANNIVERSARY - On Thursday, June 15, the Wayne Pike Adult Literacy Program (WPALP) will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary at Silver Birches, 205 Route 507, Tafton, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call the office at 570-253-3221 or email Wayne Pike Adult Literacy Program at wpalp@ptd.net for further information.
