LACKAWAXEN TWP. – Summers in the Northeast elicit great anticipation for many. The warm weather, the longer sunny days, the beautiful landscape that blossomed during the spring, and, hopefully, time spent in the sun by the lake or the pool.

Guests who spend their summer vacations at Woodloch Pines, an award-winning, all-inclusive family resort located in northern Pike County just eats of Hawely, can enjoy all of this and more.

The family-owned and operated resort transforms into its own small city in June, July and August, employing over 1,100 staff members to serve over 1,200 guests a day eagerly delighting in their well-deserved time off. In addition to the all-inclusive resort’s time-honored favorites such as sailing, water skiing, pool games, and live outdoor concerts, each summer brings a plethora of new entertainment options. 2017 marks Woodloch’s 59th year in business, and guests can look forward to more excitement on property than ever before.

Debuting this summer:

GiGi’s Coffee Shop – Located right by the main lobby,
Woodloch’s new coffee shop will feature an assortment of made-to-order coffee drinks and freshly baked pastries from the resort’s very own bakery in addition to sandwiches, salads and wraps. The Poconos resort has partnered with local roaster Black and Brass for its new coffee offerings.

The Escape Room – Woodloch guests can look forward to this team-building adventure game that has been gaining popularity in recent years. Groups of 8 to 10 players will need to solve a series of puzzles using clues, hints and strategy during a set amount of time in order to unveil the secret plot and “escape” from the setting.

Summer X-Games – Modeled after the extreme sports shown on ESPN (but more toned down and family-friendly), Woodloch will host its own version of these competitive activities such as skateboard bowling, horizontal rock climbing, and Team Bungee Racing.

Block Party – Guests can enjoy carnival games and compete for prizes all while enjoying the music of Billy Joel tribute band “Cold Spring Harbor.”

Pizza Wars - A team versus team event that has guests from competing “pizzerias” showcasing their talents in both resource management and creativity all under time constraints.

Blockbuster Games - These game-show type contests with a movie theme (hint: Dirty Dancing fans will especially enjoy) take place on the Poconos resort’s very own Lake Teedyuskung.

“A Night at The Musicals” – Complete with a full orchestra, elaborate costumes and professional choreography, Woodloch’s own Broadway-style theme show pays tribute to Jersey Boys, Motown, Hairspray, Hamilton, and more.

BogaFit – The Woodloch Springs Sports Complex will offer this fitness program at its indoor and outdoor pools. Bogafit exercises are performed on Boga FITMATS that are anchored on the water’s surface. Because the exercises are performed on an unstable surface, participants get an added boost in workout intensity while building strength, flexibility, balance and coordination.

“Summer vacations at Woodloch are truly like none other. The beautiful setting combined with our zany activities and fun-loving guests are the perfect recipe for making unforgettable memories,” says Activities Director Joey Ranner. “Our staff work hard year-round to ensure that each summer is better and more entertaining than the last. We are so grateful that our guests choose to spend their summers with us, and we want to offer them the best of the best!”
