HAWLEY - The Stourbridge Line train will be available for special excursions operating from the Hawley Station, after the 4th of July parade.
Departure is at 1 p.m. and again at 2 p.m., for a scenic, 45-minute round trip train ride along the Lackawaxen River valley.
Called The “July 4th Parade Flyer”. tickets for this special ride are only $10.00, or free if age 2 and under (lap seat only).

The 50th Anniversary Independence Day parade in Hawley starts at noon, Tuesday, July 4. The parade begins at Main Avenue and Spring Street and heads up Main to Bingham Park.
Following the parade, Jason Merrill and other musicians are planning special music at the bandstand, leading up to the start of the Hawley Carnival at 1 p.m.
Fireworks are planned at dusk, fired from the Wallenpaupack Area High School athletic field, hosted by the Chamber of the Northern Poconos.
