Robert L. Clouse passed away peacefully on July 17, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was a lifelong resident and born in Callicoon, NY on June 25, 1944, to the late August and Catherine Hess Clouse.

Robert was self employed as a recycler. He attended St Luke’s Lutheran Church in Greeley and was a trustee and member of the Greeley Volunteer Fire Department.  He was an avid hunter and was well known for making cider.  In his younger days he raced stock cars at Moc-A-Tek raceway with his brother, Dick.  A family statement reads: “Robert will truly be missed by his family and a good many friends.”

Survivors include his daughter, Peggy Sue Goble and her husband Larry of Greeley, PA and his son, Michael Clouse of Greeley. Three grandchildren, Robert Goble, Justin and Leah Clouse, his sister, Susan Ferris and her husband Jeffrey of Rowland, PA, his brothers, Glenn Clouse and his wife Sharon of Shohola, PA, Charles Clouse and his wife Mary Paige of Yulan, NY, his sister-in-law Ruth Clouse of Lackawaxen, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor Andersen Clouse who passed away in May of 1990, and his brother Richard Clouse in 2010.

Friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harrison Rasmussen Funeral Home, 3412 SR 97 in Barryville, NY 12719.  A funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m.  Cremation will be provided by the Maple Hill Crematory.
