MANCHESTER TWP. - The Equinunk Historical Society's Joel Hill water-powered, Civil War era sawmill will be open again on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., for tours and sawing demonstrations.

The mill runs entirely on water which issues from Duck Harbor Pond and turns the huge turbine that powers the saw. Of interest to all members of the family, the volunteer lead tours take place on five days on the year: twice in July, twice in August, and on the first Saturday in October.  Enjoy a picnic lunch on the newly built deck by the waterfall.
Call 570-224-6722 for information.

The sawmill is located off Creek Road in Lookout. Traveling north from Honesdale and past Rileyville’s 4-corners on Route 191, turn left on Creek Road, then right at the "T" intersection, then a quick left. The mill is immediately on the left.
