PIKE COUNTY - According to the Penn State Extension office in Pike County, a Land Use Decision-making webinar will be held on August 16, 12 to 1:15 p.m.. The topic is PADOT Connects: Aligning Transportation Planning with Land Uses & Community Vision.

This is the second in a series of five webinars for Summer/Fall 2017. These monthly Land Use Webinars will help land owners, farmers, elected and appointed officials, developers, and community members, who are involved in decision-making processes regarding using or preserving natural resources, come together to make better land use decisions.

State Department of Transportation’s are no longer just held accountable for the transportation system; they are also held accountable for how the system supports and improves quality of life for communities.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PADOT) is committed to enhancing community collaboration in our planning process through “PADOT Connects”. This webinar will provide an overview of PADOT Connects as well as the outcomes from the process in other Metropolitan Planning Organizations working with PADOT with regard to transportation planning.
