PORT JERVIS, NY - Animal Farm, by George Orwell, first published in 1945, is a classic that hasn’t lost its significance. The Presby Players will be presenting an adaptation of this literary masterpiece at Marsh Hall in Port Jervis for three days beginning September 8.

“Often cited as one of the best English novels ever written, Animal Farm remains relevant today,” said Director Jeffrey Stocker.

Stocker said it will be presented in the traditional style of “Reader’s Theater” but one major difference in this production is that the narrator, who is reading the “book” as a homework assignment, is a sixth grader in real life.

See Animal Farm at 60 Sussex Street, Marsh Hall, at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 8 and Saturday, September 9th and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 10th. Tickets are $10 at the door.
