HAWLEY - A Community Survey is underway in Hawley Borough and the adjoining townships of Paupack and Palmyra in Wayne County. The three municipalities are in the process of updating their Comprehensive Plan, and are doing so in a cooperative, joint manner since what impact one will have bearing on the next.

The plan outlines anticipated demographic changes for the years ahead and how zoning and infrastructure will be impacted.

Hawley Councilwoman Michelle Rojas said at the Sept. 13 Council session that there have not been many responses from Hawley residents. She asked that more borough residents complete the survey.

They are available both in paper form at the borough office and on the borough web site.

Paupack Township Supervisor James Martin stated at their August meeting that the hope is, 100 to 150 surveys will be answered across the three municipalities.

Contact your township/borough office for information about the survey and to fill one out.
