HONESDALE - On Thursday, October 26, Corporal Brian Rickard from Blooming Grove Pennsylvania State Police visited the second graders at Stourbridge Primary Center to wrap up their Community Helpers curriculum.

Corporal Rickard discussed the importance of the State Police and emphasized how they work to help protect and keep our community safe. Corporal Rickard also identified and defined the purpose of the tools on his belt and other equipment state troopers use.

The students were then allowed to try on and experiment with some of the equipment. The last emphasis Corporal Rickard discussed with the students that tied in with our Red Ribbon Week was the importance of being drug and alcohol free so that we can all make good choices.
