MILFORD - Friends of Pike County Public Library suggests browsing their used bookshop for great holiday gift ideas.
“Here’s a chance to find an ideal gift for those on your holiday list,” said Patricia Corcoran, for the Friends. “Books make great gifts. You don’t have to know the size or color preference!”
Gift certificates for books are another great idea, she said. They issue gift certificates in all denominations.
If you are looking for gently used books at a very good price, stop by the Milford Branch of the Pike County Library located at 199 E. Harford Street. Just inside the front door, you’ll find the Friend’s Book Room, a little gem of a bookstore. All hard cover books, fiction and non-fiction, are priced at $2.00, and the soft cover editions are a steal at one dollar. All books are in very good condition. The book room is managed and staffed by the volunteers from Friends of PCPL in an effort to support the Library with funds from their daily sales.
All books are donated. Some books are specialty items with a slightly higher price. DVDs CDs and audio books can also be found in the bookstore. New items arrive daily. For the public’s convenience, the store is open whenever the library branch is open.
