LAKE REGION - Please don’t dispose of live Christmas trees!!  In anticipation of Mother Nature’s cooperation, the Annual Ice Tee Golf Tournament presented by the Chamber of the Northern Poconos is set to take place on Saturday, January 27 and Sunday, January 28, 2018. The trees outline the two 9-hole golf courses on frozen Lake Wallenpaupack.

Christmas trees can be dropped off at Silver Birches’ parking lot, by the designated sign, to the rear of the lot and will then be recycled after the event by Rex Brand Tree Experts.

Formerly known as Ehrhardt’s Waterfront Resort, Silver Birches is located along Route 507 at Tafton, two miles east of Hawley.

The Ice Tee Golf Tourney is once again based from Silver Birches.  The cost is just $20 per golfer in advance and $25 at the door.  Reserve tee times between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, in 10-minute intervals.  Golfers are required to bring three clubs, and one must be a putter in accordance with the rules.  Colored golf balls will be provided at registration; course assignments and score cards on the ice.

Tee/hole sponsorships are available for $100.  Your business name or logo will be carved in a unique ice sculpture by Crystal Cabin Fever/Sculpted Ice Works.
