PIKE COUNTY - Employers are wanted for the 3rd annual Working Pike Job Fair.

Cynthia DeFebo, Director of the Pike County Workforce Development Agency, said that “an interesting and unusual alliance of organizations has partnered once again” to host the event. The job fair is planned  for Tuesday, April 17, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Best Western Inn at Hunts Landing in Matamoras.

The organization known as Working Pike is a collaboration of Pike County Government, Pike County Commissioners, faith-based assemblies and organizations. Its mission is to build a stronger community through this partnership.

“Working Pike will bring individuals who are unemployed and underemployed together with major employers form the tristate area,” said DeFebo. “We hope you will join us for this special event.”
She stated, “If you are like most employers struggling to find qualified workers, you won’t want to miss this event.”

Job seekers will be recruited from Pike, Monroe, Wayne, Lackawanna, Sullivan, Orange, and Sussex Counties and all will receive an employer directory that highlights your company and employment opportunities. Previous events brought in 300 to 600 job-seekers in just a few hours.

Tables are going fast and space is limited so please contact the Pike County Workforce Development Agency, at 570-296-2909 as soon as possible to guarantee your reservation.
