WAYNE/PIKE - Registration is being accepted for kindergarten now at Wallenpaupack Area School District, or on certain dates at Delaware Valley schools. Notices were recently received from these two school districts.
Other school districts in the area are welcome to send their kindergarten registration notices to The News Eagle as well.

Parents of all Wallenpaupack Area school children who will be five years of age on or before August 31, 2018, are asked to request a registration packet from Central Registrar’s Office (call 570-226-4557 ext. 3036) or download documents from the district’s website:

• Kindergarten registration will take place March 12 and 14 at the Diingman-Delaware Primary School for students who will attend this school in the 2018-2019 school years. Students must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2018 in order to register. A letter explaining the process and what you will need to bring to registration will be mailed out sometime in February along with an appointment date. • Kindergarten registration for Shohola Elementary School’s 2018-2019 class has been CHANGED. It is now scheduled for Wednesday, March 14, 2018.
A packet was mailed to parents of known kindergarten age children in the Shohola area. Parents are asked to call Laura Lamberton at the Shohola Elementary School at 570-296-3603, if they have not received a packet.
Children who will be five years on or before September 1, 2018 will be eligible to register.
