WAYMART - Salvation Army will honors donors and volunteers at a Spring Music Festival, Saturday, April 7th at 3 p.m., at Camp Ladore, Waymart.

The Salvation Army is well-known for bell-ringing at shopping centers at Christmas, thrift stores, and shelters in large Pennsylvania cities. Yet in small towns and villages across central Pennsylvania, local volunteers provide services tailored to the needs of individuals and families under the umbrella of The Salvation Army Service Unit.

Utilizing support from private donors, United Way organizations in Susquehanna, Lackawanna, Wayne and Pike Counties, and local Christmas Red Kettle campaigns, these volunteers arrange local food distribution, provide emergency lodging, offer utility assistance, and even coordinate housing repairs.

The Spring Music Festival and Private Reception will be held at the PARC Pavilion, located at Camp Ladore. The address is 287 Owego Turnpike, Waymart.

The concert will feature the Pendel Brass & Singers and young musicians from throughout Eastern Pennsylvania who will perform sacred melodies, marches, and other crowd favorites under the baton of leader Gavin Whitehouse. Under the leadership of Eric Dina, the Ohio-based special music guests NEOSA Brass and Chorus will share the stage with the Pendel ensembles.  Each group will bring its own unique repertoire to Waymart.

The concert, a free and non-ticketed event, will be preceded by a reception honoring Salvation Army donors and volunteers. For additional information, please call 570-488-6129.
