Tyler Whitman Memorial Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application + essay
Amount: $500  
Criteria: 250 word essay on “Suicide prevention and awareness, including statistics on depression, suicide in college students and what help is available” – financial need – B average or above – attend a 2/4 yr. college or technical school.  
                                              
WANES PTA Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $500
Criteria: Must major in field that will have some involvement with children. Must attend a 2/4 yr. college. Must have been a student at Wallenpaupack North Elementary School at some time between Kindergarten and grade 5.

Gail Masker Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $1000
Criteria: Must further education at a 2/4 year school-dedication to his/her peers in community activities-good citizenship.

Woodloch Renaissance Person Award
Accepts the WAHS Application
Amount: $500
Criteria: A well rounded student attending a 2/4 year college with good academic achievement-school involvement-extra curricular activities-community service.

Instrumental Music Award in Memory of Warren & Olive Murphy
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $100
Criteria: Must be in band for 4 years-active-worthy.

Culinary Arts Scholarship In Honor of Harry & Mary Kiesendahl

Amount: $500
Criteria: WAHS Application required. Have 3 years food service program and further education in culinary arts or food management/hospitality.

Donald P. Becker Memorial Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $2,700 (varies)
Criteria: Must be accepted to a 4 yr. college majoring in business/ finance. Good moral character and a positive, respectful attitude-academic achievement of 3.0 GPA or above.

Shohola Area Lions Club Scholarship in Memory of Andy Bartsch
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $1,500
Criteria: Must reside in area served by Shohola Lions – () Must be passing in all subjects-good behavior, copy of acceptance letter to college-participate in local community organizations-leadership-work record are required.
This one is due May 7, 2018.

LcPL Jacob W. Beisel Memorial Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $600
Criteria: Must be a resident of Pike County. Must have attended W.A.H.S. for at least 3 years. Have been accepted to a 2/4 yr college- a brief statement about self, career plans, and course of study in any field.

Pike County Bar Association
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $1000 (2)
Criteria: Must be a Pike County resident. Demonstrate qualities of leadership, citizenship. Not restricted to students pursuing legal careers. Must be in the top 20% of the class.

Wallenpaupack Youth Soccer League Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $500
Criteria: Must have volunteered in the youth soccer league at least 3 seasons (can be fall or indoor season or combination of both)-must further education at a 2/4 year college or vocational school.

Pike County Bar Association Scholarship
 In Memory of William R. Rice, Esq., William Gumble, Esq., and the Honorable Jay Rose
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Student must reside in Pike County, attend a 2/4 yr. college, not required to study the field of law. Student must demonstrate qualities of leadership and be in the top 20 % of the class.

Dr. Alice Marie Horst Memorial Scholarship
Does Not Accept WAHS Application
Amount: $500
Criteria: Application required. WAHS student for minimum of 4 years-secured enrollment in Vocational/Trade school or college – overall character and financial need. 1 reference letter from non-family member-brief statement about self- transcript.

Edna Hatton Sanquilly Memorial Scholarship
No Application Required – Must sign up in Guidance
Amount: $1,000
Criteria: Must further studies in education (preference given to elementary education) selected on basis of community participation and financial need.

Scholar Athlete Award Scholarship
Accepts WAHS Application
Amount: $250
Criteria: Continued education at an accredited 2/4 year post-secondary school. Must participate and complete the season in at least 2 varsity sports over the course of Jr. & Sr. year.
