WALLENPAUPACK - Resilient to the core, cancer survivors, caregivers and supporters of those who have or are dealing with cancer, carried on with Greater Lake Region Relay for Life, Saturday, despite heavy rain. Thanks to the Wallenpaupack Area School District’s generosity, the entire event was moved inside the high school, for the first time. Teams that raised money for the American Cancer Society did laps around a maze of marked hallways, and events were held either in the gym or cafeteria. There were 23 teams and 160 participants; as of Monday morning, $18,038.28 had been raised. Pictured is the lighting of the torch, held under the covered entranceway. More information and pictures are planned for the next edition.
