MATAMORAS- Fifth graders of the Delaware Valley Elementary School graduated from the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program recently.

The graduation was written and performed by the students with Officer Paul Cavallaro at the helm. Owen Carso was the Master of Ceremonies. Ryan Edwards led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Irene McDermott and Charleigh Cook moved everyone with their rendition of the National Anthem.

The students performed their own skits and read papers they had written regarding what they had learned in D.A.R.E. They received their graduation certificates and then sang, “Brave” by Sara Bareilles. They were accompanied by Emily Kondracki on guitar.
