HONESDALE - Over 100 people gathered at Democratic Election Headquarters to greet Senator Bob Casey and his wife Terese as they visited Honesdale on Tuesday, October 23.

Senator Casey is Pennsylvania’s senior Senator and a champion for workers, seniors, children, and middle class families. He’s a nationally recognized advocate for children and Americans with disabilities and a champion for affordable health care and the programs Pennsylvanians depend on.

Casey has led the fight against attacks on Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and protections for 5 million Pennsylvanians with preexisting conditions.

The Senator thanked those in attendance for their support and their work to re-elect him along with Governor Wolf and Congressman Cartwright.

Senator Casey lives in Scranton. The Caseys are frequent visitors to Wayne County and the family’s property in Lake Ariel.

The Wayne County Democratic Committee also welcomed John Fetterman, candidate for Lieutenant Governor, and Rep.Matt Cartwright, who is running for Congress in the recently formed 8th District, which in part encompasses both Wayne and Pike Counties. These candidates made separate appearances at The Settlers Inn, during past weeks of the current campaign season.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 6.
