Other business:

A presentation was made by North Primary School Principal Anthony Cavallaro, about the Free Library and Courtyard project. A newspaper coin box was converted into a space to hold children’s books (grade K - 5 levels), which may be borrowed at any time and brought back. Books may also be donated.

A donation from the Wallenpaupack Class of 1967 helped pay for the project. Cathie Walpole and Phil Horan designed the courtyard, and North Primary staff assisted. Picnic tables painted with flower designs or games were set up in a shaded area, on top a mulch surface.

It’s already getting use. Parents and children enjoy the area while children involved in athletics are having a game.

The next Wallenpaupapack School Board meeting is earlier than normal. The meeting is set for Wednesday, December 5 at 6 p.m., in the High School Library. The annual re-organization meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. and the committee meeting at 5:45, prior to the regular board session.
