HAWLEY - Crockpots filled with homemade soup will be available at the Hawley Public Library this Saturday, December 8, as part of the annual Winterfest celebration.

Starting at 11:30 a.m., hungry diners will be offered a wide variety of soups some of which will include traditional chicken noodle, chicken and wild rice, split pea with ham, gluten-free vegetable beef, Transylvanian goulash, stuffed pepper, lasagna, and potato apple cheddar chowder.

Smaller 8 oz. cups will be sold for $3.00, 12 oz. cups for $5.00 and 16 oz. for $8.00. Soup Sale chairperson Dona Schmalzle notes that, because the Soup Sale has become extremely popular with Winterfest attendees, those who come early will have the widest range of choices. The sale will continue until all of the soups are gone. All proceeds will benefit the Hawley Library and its mission of service to the Lake Region community.
