HONESDALE – The Board of The John and Helen Villaume Foundation announced that the Upper Delaware BioBlitz was selected to receive one of the Foundation’s 2018 community grant awards. Steven Schwartz, Coordinator of the BioBlitz was on hand to receive a check for $1,000.00 from Villaume Foundation board members, Rev. William Samford and Lewis J. Critelli.

The Upper Delaware BioBlitz is an every other year event to highlight the diversity of life in the Delaware River watershed and to introduce children and their families to science and scientists. The John and Helen Villaume Foundation established by Honesdale natives, John and Helen Villaume, is dedicated to benefit charitable, religious, scientific, literary and educational programs within Wayne County.
