The Merchants of Hawley are announcing their Black Friday shopping event to be held on Friday, Nov. 27.

Black Friday is the busiest shopping day of the year, and is the traditional start of the Holiday Shopping season. This event is held on the Friday immediately following the Thursday Thanksgiving celebration.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7am Friday morning though some merchants will be opening even earlier. This event will continue into the evening with each merchant setting their own closing hours. Many of the merchants in the Borough will be participating in Black Friday, and there will be discounts of up to 50 percent offered at some locations.
