The driver of a 1999 Kia Sephia Sedan was killed in a one vehicle accident on Milford Road (SR 2001) Wednesday night.
State Police Trooper John Youngblood said the vehicle was heading south at 11:30 pm about .6 miles south of Weber Road when the car crossed into the northbound lane and then left the roadway where it struck a tree. The car then caught fire.
Police said the car sustained damage to the front end and the engine and occupant compartments sustained extensive fire damage.
Police said the name of the driver will be released following identification and notification of the family. No one else was riding in the vehicle according to State Police.
