Beekeeping Workshop Offered in Honesdale

The Wayne County Beekeepers Association and Penn State Cooperative Extension in Wayne County invite you to a chance of a lifetime experience to start a new hobby on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 10:30 am to 3 pm, at the Wayne County Visitors Center, 303 Commercial Street in Honesdale.

Beekeeping is an exciting hobby with benefits such as helping pollinating you and your neighbors plants and producing the healthiest substance on earth - namely honey!

The Wayne county beekeepers have trained 59 new beekeepers in the last three seasons. They will teach you the basics help you get your bees, hives and related equipment all on timely basis by April. After attending this workshop you will be on your way as a 'Newbee'! You will also be assigned an experienced beekeeper to mentor you through your first year. Mark your calendar and 'bee sure' to come!
