A Memorial Service was held for David lee Mason, 56, of Rowlands, who died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. His wife Laurel Tellefsen Mason, survives. The couple were married on September 29, 1984 in Rowlands.
Born January 26, 1952 in Falls City, NE, he was the son of the Ann Katherine Gugel Mason and the late Allyn Leroy Mason. He spent his childhood in Queens, NY. A quiet, shy and reflective man, he loved his family, the environment and the world and was passionate about tolerance and justice. He loved to travel and ride his bicycle or motorcycle along the river to watch eagles and herons. He was always ready to help and assist anyone who asked.
Also surviving are two daughters, Diana Hope Mason, Rowlands and Keri Reich, New Port Richey, FL; two sons, David and Christopher Mason, New York; two brothers, Allyn, Allentown and Steven of Elmont, NY; a god child, Amy Jeanne Tellefsen; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Beach Lake, with Minister Laurie Stuart officiating.
