Services will be held for Robert Albert Miller, 81, of Rowland, and formerly of Staten Island, NY, who died Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at his home. His wife, Thelma Solli Miller, survives.

Born October 20, 1926 in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of the late Albert and Marjorie (Reischour) Miller. He was a retired police officer for the City of New York; a loan officer for Chase Bank, Manhattan, NY; and manager of Farrell Lumber Co., Staten Island, NY. He was an active member of the Sons of Norway and was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran.

Also surviving are two daughters, Janet Miller and Lynn Maschietto, both of Staten Island, NY; a brother, Jay Miller, Matasquan, NJ; four grandchildren, Joseph, Tori, Dennis, Jayme; and two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Robert.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Interment, Rowland Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
