Graveside services will be held today, July 3 for Jeanne E. Steimling, 83, of Tafton, who died Monday, June 30, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She is survived by her husband, Clair “Jake” Steimling, they would have been married 59 years, yesterday on July 2.

Born March 5, 1925 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary E. (Keilman) Weaver. She was associated with the family business, C.F. Steimling Inc. Excavation. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Hawley.

Also suriving are a sister-in-law, Florence Weavers of Tamaqua; a daughter-in-law, Patti Steimling of Blooming Grove; and a granddaughter, Ayla Steimling of Philadelphia.

She was predeceased by three sons, Wayne, Leroy and Raymond.

Graveside service will be today, Thursday, July 3 at 2 pm at Pine Grove Cemetery in Paupack with Rev. William Samford, Pastor, First Presbyterian Church in Hawley, officiating.
