Services will be held Wednesday for Joseph A. Luberto, 83, of West Palm Beach Florida, formerly of Greentown and Staten Island, NY, died Friday in Columbia Hospital, West Palm Beach FL. He was the husband of Patricia (Valentine) Luberto, at home.
Born in Staten Island, NY, son of the late Albert and Frances (Berrine) Luberto, he had lived in Florida for the past eight years, in Greentown from 1978 to 2001 and in Staten Island prior to that.
Joe owned and operated Luberto’s Service station in Greentown from 1978 to 2001 and Joe’s Service Station in the Grant City Area of Staten Island from 1965 to 1978.
He was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Church, Hawley, a Member of Post 859 American Legion, Newfoundland and was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater of Operations. He was an avid Yankees’ Fan and enjoyed bowling.
In addition to his wife Pat, he is survived by: a daughter, Frances Rinaldi, of Dunmore; Two sons, Albert J Luberto of Greentown, and Anthony J. Luberto, Newfoundland; Five Grandchildren, Jessica, Andrea, Dana and Nicole Luberto and Paul Rinaldi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will Be Celebrated at 10 am, Wednesday, June 3 in the Church of St. Anthony of Padua, Main Street, Newfoundland. Entombment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 2 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 in the Arthur J. Frey Funeral Hottie, Rt. 191 Village of LaAnna, South Sterling.
Memorial Remembrances may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s choice.
