Barbara A. Shaffer, Canadensis, died Monday morning Nov. 16, 2009, at home after an illness. Her husband of 49 years is Albert Shaffer.
Born in Stroudsburg, daughter of the late Howard and Evelyn Vaughn Bush, she was a graduate of Barrett High School. She was a lifetime member of the Greene Dreher Sterling Fair Association and a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Harriett Greene # 198 Order of the Eastern Star.
Also surviving are a son Samuel and his wife Shelly, Greentown; a daughter Sherri Bryla, Jessup; a sister Elaine Mutchler, Stroudsburg; grandchildren Britni, Summer, and Damien’
She was preceded in death by a sister Irene Perry.
The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 10 am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Rt. 296 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
Eastern Star Service will be Thursday at 7:30 pm.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
